Who am I?

I am a children’s fiction writer. Give Me ’til Midnight is my debut YA novel. My original training – many moons ago – was in script writing and script editing. I subsequently headed in a completely different career direction and worked with vulnerable young people and families both overseas and in Ireland. I’ve been active in human rights and climate campaigns. I’m a venture scout leader in 37th Dublin troop. And while I moved around during childhood, l’ve lived in Dublin all my adult life and can’t see myself leaving soon.

I’m represented by Kirsty McLachlan at Morgan Green Creatives.

PS: Who am I not? I’m not the Oran Doyle who is a Professor In Constitutional Law in Trinity College Dublin. I’ve never even met him. Although I did somehow find myself speaking to his mam on the phone once. She was lovely.
